Inspiration

«In planning the collection, we wanted to do something unusual in regards to the level of material and color», says its author, designer Yury Goncharov , «so, our venture began with Space Age – the golden age of design, plastics, and bright colors». Then, in the wake of the space race, the design icons created by Verner Panton and Eero Aarnio emerged. In the 60s, plastics were seen as the material of the future, and the bright colors emphasized its difference from natural materials, which had become «unfashionable». Indeed, in the 1960s literally everything was made of plastics: houses, clothes, furniture, household appliances, and much more. Plastic furniture was mass-produced, and won buyers’ hearts with its affordable price, performance, and properties, in addition to its complex streamlined shapes and colors associated with the future.

Plastics in the 60s were completely different from modern polymers. They are safe but could be just as colorful, and with shapes that simply had not been created before. This is how the Experiment collection was born. Consisting of unusually shaped tables with complex, developed surfaces combined with a laconic «smooth» «glossy plastic» design, that had inspired designers sixty years ago.

About EX-PERIMENT Collection

Thus, the collection is, on one hand, memories of the bright years in the early 60s and somewhere nostalgia for them, and on the other hand, a bright creative act of modern object design, created by the most modern technologies. The dynamic form of each piece looks as if caught mid-twirl in a joyous dance, bringing a twist of Elvis Presley’s vibrance into your space.

All items are made of polymer mass, which is absolutely environmentally friendly, can be recycled, or, if necessary, the furniture can be repaired with the guarantee of complete restoration. The final stage of production was carried out by master grinders by hand to achieve perfect tactile surfaces and perfect paint coverage. The collection is presented in basic colors, but can be released in other colors at the request of the client.
